We plan to walk upstream alongside the River Thames on the Friday, to Castle Eaton and back. On Saturday we will walk downstream to Grafton Lock and return via Kelmscott. There will probably be a short walk on the Sunday, too, once we have checked out of the campsite.
Lechlade is a very pretty town, at the head of the navigable River Thames. There are shops, pubs, restaurants and a large "wool" church. If you would like to come, but don't fancy camping then some of the pubs offer accommodation. There are also B&B options in the town, as well as budget hotel chains not too far away.
