First walk, we all met at Lymington Marina where some car share was required. We continued our walk along the sea wall to Key Haven where we stopped for lunch, toilet break and pub refreshments. We then continued back on a parallel path back to Lymington Marina.
Second walk, A circular forest walk, starting within the campsite itself. We stopped for lunch and continued back to the campsite.
We had arranged to all meet within the campsite.
John and Nicki kindly offered a walk on the Sunday morning.
Accommodation
Our accommodation was a mix of tents, campervan and others staying within the village in Airbnb and B&B's.
Weather
Hot, hot with a breeze at the Sea wall.
On the first night I had prepared a vegetarian chilli pot for all campers. Others who did not camp made their own arrangements. We had or most members kindly baked cakes or contributed with other goodies. I also had sausages, bacon and eggs for breakfast to share to which some members enjoyed. Again others had brought their breakfast food. The second night a group of campers had takeaway fish and chips. The last night I arranged for all of us to attend a local pub for a get together and enjoy a nice meal to which most members attended.
We had a few funny moments whereby the squirrels decided to sneak into Marianne's tent where they helped themselves to her bag of nuts and other goodies. They realised this was a good sauce of food and returned again!
As for poor Eleri and David: well the squirrels went one step further and nibbled there way through one side of her case and out of the other again – taking advantage of their breakfast cereal, Fruit and fibre!
We also had a game of charades to which it was decided that Debbie.M and Denise spend far too much time watching TV!!
The camp site was very clean with good shower facilities along with a washing up room oh and a dog shower!!
Overall I can only judge by the comments that I have received the trip was successful. Most commenting on the different walks that they enjoyed.
